SIlky Girl Moisture Max Lip Gloss - #05 Raspberry

Another lip gloss review, this time from Silky Girl. Enjoy!

Description (on Silky Cosmetics Website)Enriched with Jelly Base to provide your lips with maximum moisture. It is also formulated with Shine Boosting Agent that imparts a bee-stung effect with high-wattage shine on your lips minus the tacky, sticky feel. This caring lip gloss contains Repairing Essence to repair and stimulate the production of collagen; thus lips become firmer and fuller.

Packaging
A square simple bottle. Very light gold top (almost silver) and clear glass bottom. The applicator is one of those with stick and small, fur-like tip instead of brush (as can be seen in the picture).

Color Selection
8 shades to choose from, here they are:

Number 05 Raspberry is a deep peachy pink with gold glitter on its bottle. I seldom find anything orangey that would compliment my skin color so I tend to try even more eagerly to find something peach. I find peach with pinks are best on me, and when I find a good one, I'm ecstatic.

How to Apply
Apply by itself on bare lips for glossy and slightly colored finish, or on top of lip tint for a more colored outcome. I said lip tint to avoid the stickiness from lipstick to mix with this one.

Ingredients
Sorry, cannot find the details.

Coverage
Very good.

Texture
Sticky liquid.

Spreadability
It's not difficult, but if it's more liquid maybe it could spread out more easily.

Finish
Glossy with colors. The colors shows quite more than other lip glosses I know. I like to use it by itself on bare lips or on top of my red lip tint for a subtler yet glossier look. Staying power is okay for a lip gloss.

My General Rating
Color wise, I like it a lot. I do tend to like things with gold glitters on it, and the peachy pink color is a nice addition to its goodness. I don't really like the stickiness but the moisturizing power is really great, one of the best I think. It even beats some more famous brands on that. I hope they could make more make up in moisture max range. It's one of my go-to counter whenever I happen to visit a drug store, just to check out if anything new is up *wink*.

Overall Rating
4.2 out of 5. It is good in its moisturizing power and the shade work great on me. I like Siky Girl moisture max range both lip stick and lip gloss.

Max Factor Vibrant Curve Effect Lip Gloss - #03 Trend-Setter

Finally! A different product review as I wished. This time I'm reviewing my recently acquired lip gloss. The..

Description (on MaxFactor Website)
This season’s lips are going glossy, glossy, glossy! Arm yourself with our slick new Vibrant Curve Effect Lip Gloss to put yours in the spotlight. Hot from backstage and tested by our top fashion make-up artists it’s curvy applicator hugs your lips for a fuller, more curvaceous look. With its high shine, non-sticky formula and 10 new irresistible on trend shades to try there’s no excuse to fade into the background.

Packaging
A sleek, thin, minimalistic, and elegant bottle. Black top and clear glass bottom. The applicator is one of those with stick and small, fur-like tip instead of brush (as can be seen in the picture).

Color Selection
10 shades from clear with gliters to dark. The one I chose to buy and review is #03 Trend-Setter. It's a clear peach pink liquid with gold glitters. SUPER lovely.

How to Apply
Apply by itself on bare lips for glossy finish or on top of lipstick for a more colored outcome. For daily wear, I like to apply lip gloss from the center of lips and let it naturally spread out, gives a more natural look.

Ingredients
Sorry, cannot find the details. But the beautician said it consists mostly of fruit extract that is very natural.

Coverage
Very good.

Texture
Liquid with some stickiness a bit less sticky than normal lipgloss - a feature on its favor.

Spreadability
Easy and not too sticky.

Finish
Glossy. Very very glossy at that. I love it by itself or on my lip tint. Staying power is okay, as I don't expect much from lip gloss.

My General Rating
First of all, it smells awesome. I love the somewhat sweet fruity smell, like watermelon - and tastes like it too. It's not too overwhelming, but it makes me want to lick my own lips upon application (no worries, I didn't really do it). A neutral coloured lip gloss with flecks of gold glitter in it so it's perfect for both day wear or night wear. I simply love the color and the glitters. What more to love, is the moisturizing power. I seldom (or can say almost never) find a lip gloss that really moisturizes well. This one is a shocker to me. I have a very dry lips that reacts badly to lip make-up, but this one did what others couldn't. It fixed my lips. I haven't had dry lips for three days (since I start using it). Incredible. I love how it does what it does. I love color and texture and result aaannndd the healthy effect it gives on my lips. Plumper? check. In terms of color, as I choose a clear one, it is well, clear. But the rest are somewhat the same, it is only meant to give some color but not a vivid one. Which I usually find in lip glosses, and I don't mind. I do find it a bit difficult to find any other color that I like in the range but maybe I'll give another visit after such great performance, I wish some God-sent would send me more - that would be awesome.

Overall Rating
4.5 out of 5. It is good great in moisturizing but cannot find other shade I like-yet. I may change the rating later. And maybe more color selections if it's not too much to ask. Overall, very good lip gloss.

Kleancolor Nail Lacquer - #4 White

I don't intend for this to be a strictly nail blog but I happened to be reviewing 2 nail polishes I've been using and now here come another one lol..enjoy!

Description (on Amazon)Kleancolor nail polish featuring long lasting pretty colors with new bottle design. It is pretty, it is good quality, yet affordable price.

Packaging
It is package in a decent 15 ml bottle. Black curvy bottle top and clear glass bottom. The top reminds me of something from Anna Sui's, the princessy type. The brush is pretty big, quite difficult to use as it's not as flexible as some nail polish I know, but I think it's acceptable.

Color Selection
Many. This particular one I'm reviewing is in the basic white color, the kind you use for french manicure / pedicure.

How to Apply
I use white polish mostly for french manicure or part of nail art, but that requires tutorials. So, I guess just like any nail polish, prepare your nail with base coat. Then thinly apply Kleancolor Nail Lacquer - #4 White once, wait til dry, then another coat, wait til dry. Apply top coat for longer lasting chip resistance.

Ingredients
Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Ophthalmic Anhydride/Trimellitic, Anhydride/Glycol Coplymer, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Steralkonium Hectorite, Camphor Benzophenone 1 [+/ Red Iron Oxide (C177491), Titanium Dioxide (C177891), D&C Black No 2 (C177266), Ferric Ferrocyanide (C177510), D&C Red No 7 Calcium Lake (C115850), FD&C Yellow No 5 Aluminium Lake (C119140), D&C Red No 34 Calcium Lake (C115880)]

Coverage
One thin swipe streaky on me, I think it almost always happen on creamy polish (except ones from my favorite Mavala) but I somehow prefer this Kleancolor polish more that O.P.I. (forgot what's the white O.P.I. I have is called). For a french it will do well, the color is thick enough in one swipe but two is better.

Texture
Creamy and quite easy to apply. For a white polish, this one is one of the best I've used so far. I think it helps a lot in doing french.

Spreadability
Easy. If there are some bad strokes, it will blend out quite well when dry. I like it.

Finish
Creamy, shiny finish. But for shinier look you should add top coat.

If you apply very thinkly like I suggest, it is quite quick to dry, about 15 minutes (in air conned room) but I like to let it stay untouched for at least 30-45 minutes just to be safe. I hate to re-do a french.

My General Rating
Kleancolor is one of those cheap range polish that works just better than you expected. I have tried some of their colors and for the price, I think it's worth it. Some disadvantage is that the paint from the bottle top can somehow left behind on the screw so the screw will have some black flakes, it luckily didn't go into the content, cos it would be a disaster in white polish. I don't like the super strong smell either, but almost all brand smell toxic. I wish someday someone could create nice smelling polish, or maybe I will haha..

Kleancolor has so many color choices that makes you cry to pick just some (I know I almost did lol..). I like the performance, and it's a good addition to my collection. I would buy somemore when available.

Overall Rating
3.7 out of 5. It is good for french mani/pedicure.
