Mavala Nail Polish - #55 Dakar

Description (on Scentstore)Mavala Dakar mini nail polish is a deep brown-pink with a pearl finish.

These iconic 5 ml pots of colour are an affordable way to buy into this season's key trends. Unlike traditional nail colour, Mavala's unique formula delivers microscopic air pockets to allow nails to breath and is free from harmful ingredients.

Packaging
It is packaged in a tiny little bottle, only 5 ml each. Gold bottle top and clear thick glass bottom. The brush is not big nor small, it is just the right size for easy application despite its small bottle packaging. The small packaging makes it easier to carry wherever, I take one or two bottles of Mavala polish with me to office sometimes. Another benefit of the small packaging is to avoid nail polish to dry out when it's still half-full - some problems I find in any nail polish, good quality brands or not.

Color
Mavala Dakar is part of the Pearl range. A deliciously deep brown pink, with warm undertones.

How to Apply
Apply two thin coats to the nail after using a base and before a topcoat.
The Mavala "MINI's" contain 2 small mixing balls, in order to efficiently shake the bottle before use to break the thixotropy inherent in this product and to restore its appropriate consistency and dazzling colour.

Ingredients
MAVALA cares about consumer's health and environment, so that their nail polish formulas are developed without toluene, camphor, dibutyl phtalate, colophane, formaldehyde, added nickel.

Coverage
One swipe is good enough coverage on me, it is designed for easy application so one swipe does well. For a more intense color, I will usually use two swipes. It offers full coverage, not a clue on nail line.

Texture
Easy to apply. It is too thick that makes it hard to blend perfectly, and it is also not too runny that takes time to apply. I think the formula is just perfect. It is one of my favorite nail polish brand.

Spreadability
Very easy, you don't have to be an expert in nail art to apply it perfectly. If there are some bad strokes, it will blend out nicely when dry. I love it.

Finish
Pearly, shimmery finish. Not like most pearl range I don't normally prefer, this one is not as pearly as it described, more like shimmery, gold shimmer I think. I always liked gold shimmer. For shinier look, add top coat. The color is neutral, suitable for daily use. It blends out nicely.

It is quick dry so about 10 minutes will do but I like to let it stay untouched for at least 30 minutes for better result.

My General Rating
Another favorite from Mavala polish. The color is rich and warm and it is suitable for most skin color. Dakar is pearly pink brown on me. I don't usually like brown because on my fair skin, the color is often not very appealing, but of course this one makes an exception. Other than it's my favorite brand which gave it the benefit of me wanting to try brown, it surprisingly went well on me. A brown. So I like it.

Overall Rating
5 out of 5. It is one of my favorite brand and the brownish color works on me.

It is quick dry so about 10 minutes will do but I like to let it stay untouched for at least 30 minutes for better result.

My General Rating
Mavala is by far one of my favorite brand of nail polish. It has a range of beautiful colors which they updates every 2-3 months. And each updates never fail to lure me into buying one or two. And all of the colors I choose I would love dearly over many years.
It is package in a tiny little bottle, only 5 ml each and for the price, I think it's quite expensive. But afterall, I never finished any one bottle of nail polish so a little bottle is fine for me.
Velvet is one of my favourite. To me, it is creamy pink greyish in color, very pretty and subtle, something to wear in the end of summer and in autumn, or whenever, really. The color is very versatile.

Overall Rating
5 out of 5. It is one of my favorite brand and the color never failed me. Love it.
